Penetration Testing and Vulnerability Assessments
You cannot secure what you have not tested. Aiwel’s penetration testing shows you exactly how an attacker would get in, what they would reach once inside, and what to fix first, so your security spending goes where the real exposure is.
Penetration Testing Services Aiwel Delivers
Network Penetration Testing
Aiwel tests your external and internal networks the way an attacker would, identifying the exposed services, weak configurations, and trust relationships that open a path inside.
Application
Testing
Aiwel tests the web applications, portals, and APIs your customers and staff rely on, finding the authentication, access control, and input handling flaws scanners routinely miss.
Vulnerability
Assessment
Aiwel runs broad, repeatable scanning across your estate to surface missing patches, misconfigurations, and exposed assets, giving you coverage between penetration testing cycles.
Social
Engineering
Aiwel tests your people alongside your systems with simulated phishing and pretexting, because credentials remain the most reliable way into most organizations.
Find Out What an Attacker Would Actually Reach
How Aiwel Runs Penetration Testing and Vulnerability Assessments
Aiwel works through these three stages with your team, so penetration testing and vulnerability assessment produce decisions rather than a document nobody acts on.
Scoping
Aiwel defines what gets tested, how far testing goes, and what stays off limits, agreed in writing beforehand so there are no surprises during the engagement.
Testing
Aiwel runs vulnerability assessment for breadth and penetration testing for depth, chaining findings the way a real attacker would rather than reporting isolated issues in a list.
Remediation
Aiwel delivers findings ranked by business impact, works with your team on the fixes, and retests afterward to confirm the exposure is actually closed.
Where Aiwel’s Penetration Testing and Vulnerability Assessments Add Value
Most firms hand you a report and invoice you. Aiwel does the opposite. We translate penetration testing and vulnerability assessment findings into sequenced remediation work with owners and dates, help your team execute it, and retest to prove it worked, because a finding nobody closes is not a result.
A third of network breaches involve IoT sensors and operational technology, and most testing scopes leave them out entirely. Aiwel includes them. And because we also deliver managed detection, network, and compliance services, penetration testing and vulnerability assessment connect directly to what happens next: the gaps get closed, the monitoring gets tuned, and the evidence goes to your auditors without your team assembling it.
Beyond Penetration Testing and Vulnerability Assessments
Aiwel’s penetration testing and vulnerability assessment work connects to our cybersecurity, network, and compliance practices, so security is one program. Explore our other services to ensure your organization stays secure from all ends:
Frequently Asked Questions About Aiwel's Penetration Testing and Vulnerability Assessments
What is the difference between penetration testing and a vulnerability assessment?
A vulnerability assessment finds known weaknesses broadly and automatically. Penetration testing confirms which of them an attacker could actually exploit, and what they would reach by chaining them together. Most organizations need both, at different frequencies.
How often should we run penetration testing and vulnerability assessments?
Penetration testing annually at minimum, and after any significant change: a migration, a new application, a merger, or a major infrastructure project. Aiwel typically pairs that with quarterly vulnerability assessment for coverage in between.
Is a vulnerability scan enough on its own?
Not usually. Scanning tells you what is theoretically exposed, often with a long list of findings and no sense of which matter. Penetration testing tells you which ones an attacker could actually use, which is what should drive your remediation order.
Will testing disrupt our production systems?
No. Aiwel agrees scope, timing, and limits with you in writing before anything starts, including what stays off limits entirely. Testing windows are scheduled around your operations, not the other way around.
What do we actually get at the end?
Findings ranked by business impact, with remediation steps your team can act on and an executive summary leadership can read. Aiwel then works the remediation with you and retests to confirm the exposure is closed.
Do you test IoT and operational technology?
Yes, and it is where we find the most. A third of network breaches involve IoT and OT devices, and most testing scopes exclude them because they were never part of the original network design.
Can penetration testing help with our compliance obligations?
Yes. Many frameworks and client contracts require regular penetration testing and vulnerability assessment, and Aiwel produces the evidence in the form auditors expect, so you are not reformatting a technical report at deadline.
Our MSP says they handle security. Do we still need this?
Testing is how you verify that claim rather than assume it. Aiwel’s penetration testing is independent of whoever manages your environment, which is the point: the people who built it are not the right people to confirm it holds.
What does penetration testing cost?
It depends on scope: how many systems, applications, and locations, and how deep the testing goes. Aiwel scopes and prices it before starting, so you know the number and what it covers in advance.
